It was Game Over for Rufguts at Power Play VII when Tykade brought his near-six month NZWPW Championship reign to an end. Rufguts, accompanied by half the NZWPW roster, tried to get himself disqualified, taking out the referee. D-Hoya was appointed special referee and after numerous attempts by Rufguts to get disqualified, Hoya made the match a no-disqualification. The match spilled over into an all out brawl when Rufguts set his cronies on Tykade, causing the locker room to empty. After the roster fought their way to backstage a fierce battle ensued, with Tykade finally overcoming Rufguts' underhanded tactics, hitting his finisher to claim the NZWPW Championship.

Five Star Revolution - Travis Banks & JC Star
The Bay Bash 2009 - Four teams entered a tag team tournament. The winners got a shot that same night for the belts. The team of Travis Banks & JC Star defeated The Circus of Tragedy and Corey Dallas & Rufguts in a tournament to earn a shot against Manalanche. After Rufguts took JC out at the end of their bout, Travis Banks' took on Adam Avalanche and Ben Mana alone in the final bout of the night for the tag team championships. After being picked apart by Manalanche, JC Star came back and helped Travis gain the upper hand, ultimately defeating Ben Mana with the Lion Clutch to become the Tag Team Champions.
