Tykade vs Ben Mana

Two of NZWPW's most dominant wrestlers Ben Mana and Tykade will be stepping into the ring to face each other for the first time, both men have been working together for most of last year and looked to be next in line to capture the now defunct NZWPW Tag Team Titles. Tykade who has been undefeated in singles competition is slightly uneasy going into a match with a man who he has found he can call his friend. Both these men are amoung the most talented up and comers in the NZWPW locker room and with the Tag division disentergrating they seem to both have their sights set on bigger things. Ben Mana who has a proud Maori background knows this match will test their friendship, but he has told us that both men are prepared to do what they have to, to become regarded as threats to the veteran roster and of course to make a push towards the title Scene.

NZWPW.CO.NZ pick to win - Tykade - Unless Ben Mana uses some form of underhanded tactics we see Tykade definately coming out on top of this one.

Travis Banks vs The Nerd

Perhaps one of the lowest profile matches of the night with the potential to be an early favourite. The in ring technical ability of NZWPW Wrestling Academy member Travis Banks takes on the calculated mathematical precision of NZWPW local Maths and science whizz The Nerd. Making a brief appearance at Te Ra Te Raukura The Nerd showed his knowledge for wrestling by using his smarts to avoid being eliminated early before he found himself being dumped over the top rope by both Rufguts and Jimmy Sparx. Travis Banks has not been seen in the ring, but reports from trainers at the academy have told of his natural ability and in ring prowess they are picking Travis to be a breakout star to watch this year.

NZWPW.CO.NZ pick to win - Travis Banks - His form in training is great if he misses this one it will be down to a great miscalculation on his part.
