After Jimmy Sparx and Adam Avalanche nearly put D-Hoya through a table at the top of the night this past Saturday, NZWPW’s CWO announced a massive tag team main event - Sparx & Avalanche vs. D-Hoya and AWE’s Pacifika!

In the closing moments of the match it looked as though Avalanche and Sparx’s underhanded tactics would work as Adam gave D-Hoya a low blow and climbed to the middle rope for a moonsault. Pacifika had his partner’s back though, taking out Sparx and laying him down for Avalanche to moonsault instead of D-Hoya! Shocked by what he had done, Avalanche was caught off guard and suplexed from the ring by Hoya & Pacifika. D-Hoya locked a submission in on Jimmy Sparx, and a tap out followed.

Can fans expect to see Hoya beat Sparx when the two clash for the vacant NZWPW Heavyweight Championship at The Big One?

NZWPW Invasion, Stage 4, Results:

  • Zodiak def. Little Joker
LJ took to the sky with a flying cross-body press, but Zodiak used the momentum against Joker and rolled through into a pin.

  • “Shining” Nick Silver def. Kamystery
Kamystery tried to use his youth and speed to his advantage, but SNS’s experience caught up with the NZPW rookie and the Silver Bullet put Kamystery down for the three.

  • Misty def. Matariki
Misty continued to prove her dominance in the NZWPW women’s division, taking everything Matariki could give and dishing out a beating of her own, giving Matariki a ‘Misty Makeover’ and taking the win.

  • Double Count-Out: El Montana vs. Rufguts
After returning to action at AWF’s Tradition Reigns, El Montana made his way over to NZWPW to clash with Rufguts. The two put it all on the line, and Rufguts looked to take a slight advantage in the ring. As such, the action spilled outside, and a cross-body from the middle rope by El Montana left both men down and counted out.

  • Double Disqualification: Dan “Da Man” Stirling vs. Rehua
Company T’s bitter civil war rages on, as Dan and Rehua looked to prove who was the better man once and for all. Rehua had himself disqualified at NZWPW’s third Invasion show, leading to this rematch. Unfortunately for both men, the contest ended in disqualification yet again as the battle migrated into the crowd and fans became involved.

  • Axl w/ the Circus of Tragedy def. JC Star
It came down to a numbers game as the Circus of Tragedy sneakily interfered to stop JC Star building any momentum after a beautiful moonsault. Axl waited for his team mates to cause a distraction yet again and picked off JC for the win. Post-match it looked as though Star was about to be the victim of a three-on-one assault, but Ben Mana and Tykade stormed the ring to save JC.

  • D-Hoya & Pacifika def. Adam Avalanche & Jimmy Sparx
All four men held their own in this tag team contest, which eventually saw D-Hoya force Sparx into submission (after he had been accidentally consulted by Avalanche). Angry that his team lost the match, Adam Avalanche called on Infinity and the two set about attacking Jimmy Sparx.
