090620_nzwpwD-Hoya outwrestled “Dream Catcher” Phil Woodgate in the main event of Bringing Down the House, avoiding the distractions from Woodgate’s partner O’Siris to finally beat him with the Checkmate.

“Dream Catcher” made the most of having O’Siris in his corner, and distracted referee Damian early into the contest to let O’Siris get in a few illegal shots. Things got worse for the referee after Woodgate pulled him into the path of a flying knee from Hoya. As D-Hoya checked on the ref, “Dream Catcher” dropped him with the Razorblade Romance, but there was no one to count the pin!

Irate that his plan had worked against him, Woodgate rushed in and was thrown into O’Siris on the apron! While “Dream Catcher” was stunned, trying to work out what had happened, D-Hoya swooped in and nailed him with the Checkmate for the win.

The other big story of the night: friction between the tag team champions. Dan Stirling experienced Ben Mana’s savage side when Mana refused to break his submission hold after Stirling made it to the ropes. Dan “The Man” won the match by disqualification, but will be feeling the effects of the contest today.

Tykade ended up wrestling Rufguts in the secondary main event of the night. The hard-hitting bout left Rufguts bloodied and forced to tap out when Tykade debuted the Tykade Clutch. As soon as Rufguts tapped out, Tykade broke the hold, only to have Ben Mana (Tykade’s tag team partner) hurry to the ring and put Rufguts in another submission. Tykade tried to pull Mana off of Rufguts which led to the two exchanging blows. Is this the end for the Tykade/Mana alliance?
